Lens For Canon

Susan asks…What is a good and affordable zoom lens for my Canon T3?I am an amateur when it comes to photography and I am still learning many things. I am also doing a wedding this summer as well as parties. I would like to know what is an affordable lens that it also good in low light ( for when the events are inside, with low light). I would also like a zoom that can take a good shot without me being extremely close to the subject. As of now I have a fish-eye lens but that's all.
