Canon Eos 1100d Price

Carol asks…I am new to photography and DSLRs should i get a Nikon d3100 or a Canon T1i?I could get either for about the same price, so makes no differance on that.mr.eos answers:Well it does ,
well if you want to shoot videos d3100 is way to go ,
t1i is bit old , why do not you look at t3 eos 1100d , cost same as d3100.
But one problem with nikon d3100 is that you cannot use prime lenses which do not auto focus motor , like you cannot use nikon 50mm 1.8f lens .
