Canon Eos Rebel T3

Paul asks…Trying to focus on a certain point of a flower?I am using a Canon Rebel T3 EOS and I inside, at night, with just fairly dim tungsten lighting, because its all I have to work with right now. I have a small still life set up of a poinsettia, a picture behind it, and a snowman on the other side, behind it. I have tried Live View on my camera to try to get a rule-of-thirds image and to get a certain focus point, which is the center of the flower. No matter where I try to focus on this
