Canon Eos Rebel T3

Betty asks…Canon EOS T3 Rebel zooming?I have the Canon EOS Rebel T3 DSLR and there's the 18-55mm zoom, but then I also click the button on the top right to magnify it 5x - 10x but when I release the shutter, it doesn't stay? I was trying to take a picture of the moon tonight and when I put it into 10x zoom it was in amazing detail on the LCD screen, but when I released the shutter, it didn't stay and the image that stayed was just a white dot with zero detail. Even cropping it on the PC
