Daniel asks…How "far" will a 18-55mm lens "zoom" on a digital Camera?Im new to the world of Digi-SLR's, and am soon planning to purchase my first camera. But how far will a standard lens (14-42mm or 18-55mm) zoom. For example my current camera is 2x optical and 3x digital, how will this lens compare?
Say if i was at an airshow, would the purchase of an extra 300mm lens give me decent pictures (as in reasonably close) of the aircraft?mr.eos answers:Thankfully, you won't even HAVE the evilness
