Lens For Canon Eos 60d

Carol asks…How can I use my 950nm infrared filter on my Canon EOS 60D?I have it set up on a tripod and have it set on manual focus. I have a remote shutter control to avoid any camera shake but when I take a picture, even on a long exposure, the picture still turns out completely black. What am I not doing?
