Lens For Canon Camera

Sandy asks…How do i restart my canon SD1100 IS camera?When i turn my canon SD1100 camera on, the lens does not come out, it goes to a black screen and the text says, " Lens error, restart camera". I haven't spilled anything on it or dropped it in anyway to where it would damage the lens.
