180 degree would be so kewl :Dmr.eos answers:8mm is currently the widest lens produced (the Sigma 8-16mm) which still attempts preserving an image with little barrel distortion. However with these lenses you'll still notice a degree of distortion, as it's impossible to engineer it out completely.
Fisheye lenses, actually totally abandon the idea of reducing distortion, and solely concentrate
